United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley’s Day of Caring event happens today, Friday, Sept. 22. The day when more than 500 volunteers will participate in over 40 projects at 28 different sites in Chippewa and Eau Claire counties. Most projects are taking place between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with some exceptions.

The two largest volunteer projects are at Beaver Creek Reserve (Projects 19-26, from 9 a.m-3 p.m.) and City of Chippewa Falls Parks and Rec at Irvine Park (Project 34 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.)
