The holidays are approaching fast and this may be the first time you've taken a flight in a long time. Well times definitely have changed a bit thanks to the pandemic and eating on a plane while wearing a mask can be a bit tricky.

If you're indeed flying home to see family and friends, make sure you're picking the right foods.

According to top dieticians, these are some of the foods to AVOID eating before you fly.:

HIGH SODIUM FOODS: These can cause dehydration and headaches. No fun.

CARBONATED BEVERAGES: Avoid pop/soda/coke so you can avoid a gassy/bloated stomach

ALCOHOL: Due to the cabin pressure and low oxygen concentration in the blood, you can get drunk a lot quicker. Your family doesn't want to see you on the news.

GASSY FOODS: Stay away from the cabbage, beans, onions, cauliflower, etc.

OVER-PROCESSED SNACKS: These types of foods can cause your digestive system to get thrown out of whack a bit, no need to add discomfort to a flight when you can avoid it!
