Lainey Wilson shared a snippet of the soon-to-release song from her highly-anticipated Whirlwind album on Tuesday afternoon (July 2).

Wilson confirmed last week that “4x4xU” would be the third track to release from her next project, following “Country’s Cool Again” and “Hang Tight Honey.” The reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year wrote the song with Jon Decious and Aaron Raitiere.

“Got a feeling this is the best one yet. You and yours are gonna love it 😍 Send this to your driver or shotgun rider ❤️🛻,” Wilson wrote in her caption as she posted a sneak peek of the song on Instagram.

Wilson announced the release date of “4x4xU” at the same time she revealed the track list of Whirlwind. The 14-track album includes a duet with Miranda Lambert, and songwriting credits by some of Wilson’s previous collaborators, including Trannie Anderson, Dallas Wilson and others. Whirlwind is Wilson’s highly-anticipated follow-up to Bell Bottom Country, which included “Heart Like A Truck,” “Watermelon Moonshine,” “Wildflowers and Wild Horses,” and more. The Louisiana-born Grammy Award winner previously said “this new chapter of music is the most cathartic and personal piece of art I’ve ever made. I hope this record brings some peace to your whirlwind and wraps its arms around you like it did for me.”

Whirlwind will arrive on August 23. “4x4xU” will make its debut on Thursday (July 4).
