Kristy Lee Cook says she's excited about her new single, "Wherever Love Goes," for two reasons.
The former 'American Idol' finalist tells Billboard.com she's pleased to be giving her fans some fresh music, and she's thrilled that she was able to record the song with Randy Houser. She says she thinks Randy is "the best male vocalist in Nashville," and that their voices blend well together.
Kristy explains that Randy has "that grit to his voice" while she has "a very low and tender voice," which creates a nice balance.
Cook credits her label president for pairing them up. Kristy is wrapping up the work on her first album for Broken Bow Records, which will feature the Houser duet. A release date for the project hasn't been announced yet.
